We are looking for proactive, team-oriented Business Development & Client Relations personnel.

We seek a talented and motivated individual to join our growing team at ACX. This individual will play a crucial role in educating companies and driving new members onto the exchange. Our clients include environmental commodity traders, financial institutions, hedge funds, asset managers, project developers, corporate off-setters, and other climate stakeholders across all industries.  The team helps introduce potential clients to ACX, and its essential functions ensure ongoing relationship management to clients and market opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an innovative global exchange in a growing market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Active client-facing role
  • Broad outreach to find new potential members for ACX
  • Create presentation materials for existing and prospective client meetings
  • Understanding market fundamentals and trends and communicating information to clients via online and in-person presentations
  • Lead, develop and implement critical business initiatives through cross-function partnerships
  • Structure deals with market intermediaries and trading houses that can utilise ACX offerings

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in a related business function: business development, commodities trading, environmental products structuring at consultancy firms, trading houses or corporations
  • Good interpersonal and influencing skills, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at various levels and across industries.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, able to articulate initiatives and issues well
  • Team player, eager to work with a global development team, engaging with clients and potential clients across cultures. 
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritisation skills to be able to deliver within various deadlines across different time zones
  • Strong analytical skills and sound judgment with the ability to develop, clearly present and draw conclusions
  • Flexible and responsive to requests from a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Excel/PowerPoint skills – The ability to work with various data sets is beneficial

We are looking for a proactive, team-oriented Operations Associate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct client onboarding and periodic reviews for new and existing corporate and individual clients
  • Liaise with customers for KYC documentation and conduct AML/KYC checks
  • Asset reconciliation
  • Carbon onboarding and asset management
  • Facilitate execution of OTC and block trades and post-trade management
  • Point of contact for client enquiries related to client onboarding, post-trading support, carbon onboarding, assets management, and accounts management
  • Change delivery and participation in local and global projects
  • Assist in documenting standard operating procedures for exchange operations
  • Any other duties/projects that will be assigned from time to time

Qualifications & Experience

  • BA, BS, or B.Com degree required (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics)
  • 1-3 years of relevant working experience
  • Prior experience in KYC, Back- and Middle Office activities in a financial services institution or Clearing & Custody operations is preferred
  • Fast learner, independent thinker, and problem solver
  • Self-motivated individual and excellent team player
  • Organised, detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially with advanced MS Excel skills
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Based in Singapore, immediately available is preferred

 We are looking for a proactive, team-oriented Surveillance & Operations Analyst to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the markets and providing customer support for our regulated trading exchange, as part of a global team working in 24-hour shifts across Abu Dhabi, and Singapore.

The primary responsibilities of this role include monitoring trading activities to ensure compliance with regulations, conducting surveillance activities, and providing customer support services as needed during overnight hours in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyse trading activity in real time to maintain the integrity of the exchange and to identify any irregularities, market manipulation, or suspicious trading patterns.
  • Conduct comprehensive surveillance of trading data, market trends, and regulatory compliance to identify potential risks and violations.
  • Investigate potential market abuse, other illicit activities, and violations in the market. Assist with the production of Compliance Officer Reports and recommend appropriate disciplinary actions in accordance with the Exchange Rules.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate investigations and collect /provide necessary information.
  • Develop and maintain effective surveillance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Create standard daily and periodic reports and presentations based on market surveillance findings.
  • Issue routine and ad hoc enquiry correspondence to Member firms.
  • Quality Assurance - review and identify potential improvements for commentary or process, systems and conduct user acceptance test.
  • Provide first-line support to customers by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, or escalating complex items to the next appropriate level.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to customers regarding trading procedures and platform usage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve customer support processes and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on market developments and customer feedback to the management team.
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of market regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and enhance system efficiency.
  • Any other duties/projects that will be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5 to 6 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Prior trading or market surveillance experience in an Exchange, Bank, or Broker is a plus.
  • Ability to assess trading activity and to propose interventions or other supervisory actions in line with established procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide first-line support and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues.
  • Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
  • Knowledge of financial market regulations and industry best practices is a plus.
